Antique Victorian Italian Micro-mosaic Drop Earrings
Description
Antique Victorian Italian drop earrings which feature beautiful micro-mosaic. Micro-mosaic is made by using tiny pieces of multicoloured cut glass set in intricate floral patterns and set into brass. This type of jewellery was predominantly made in Italy.
Micro-mosaic was sold to the Victorian ladies in the early and mid-19th century when tourism was on a high in Rome. The earrings are slightly different in colour, one being blue and one being green, they have had new 9ct yellow gold wires.
