Antique Victorian drop earrings featuring beautiful carved leaves. The earrings are gold filled. The earrings was originally buttons from a luxury Japanese silk jacket imported from Japan and sold in Harrods during the Victorian era. We have taken this piece and transformed it into beautiful drop earrings.
The earring wire is 9ct yellow gold and the earrings is gold filled. The piece is gold filled which means it has a thick piece of gold over a base metal, gold filled items are better quality than gold plated. For a piece to be called gold filled the gold content of at least 1/20th the total weight of the item, the horseshoe has 12/20th's.
