Vintage 1960's Scottish pink agate brooch with lace detailing in a silver tone metal. The brooch features a dusty pink agate from Scotland.
Agate jewellery because popular when Queen Victorian frequented Scotland and her castles, the area became very popular to visit and Scottish dress and jewellery became very fashionable. During the Victorian era the English were riding on trains seeing parts of the country previously inaccessible, consequently, souvenir jewellery was very popular and easier to transport.

The brooch measures 5.2cm / 2" in length and 2.6cm / 1" in height.

The brooch is in excellent antique condition.
