Antique Victorian lucky horseshoe charm, the charm features plaited hair set in 9ct rose gold. The piece dates back to Victorian era, the three gold areas on the charm are hallmarks '9 375' confirming the piece is 9ct gold. The pendant hangs from a new 9ct rose gold chain.
This rare piece features delicately woven hair. Hair of a loved ones were used as decoration in jewellery during the Victorian era. Hair work jewellery is highly collectable, precious and sentimental. The horseshoe shape symbolises 'Good Luck'.

The charm measures 2cm / 0.7" (excluding bail) in height and 1.5cm / 0.5" in width. The necklace hangs from a 9ct rose gold chain.
