Antique Art Nouveau brooch set in 800 silver featuring a beautiful Bohemian women set with bright green, blue, purple enamel. Enamel is powdered glass which is heated to a very high temperature, as the powder melts it flows and solidifies. It takes great skill and craftsmanship to create this beautiful design.
Art Nouveau is an ornamental style of art that became popular between about 1890 and 1910. It is characterised by its use of long organic curved lines and shapes intertwined with flowers and foliage and used in jewellery, fabrics and art designs.
