Description

This antique turquoise ring features a single row of turquoise gemstones set in 9ct yellow gold. This ring is hallmarked recognising the piece was made in Birmingham, England. For the Victorian's a turquoise gemstone was thought to preserve sight and protect from injury. Even today in the north-east, there is a proverb stating 'That a Turquoise given by a loving hand carries with it happiness and good fortune'. The ring is in excellent vintage condition measuring 0.4cm in width and 1.5cm in length (cross all five stones).
