Description
Vintage 1920s exquisite rolled gold vintage necklace featuring pale blue and clear cut glass stones linked together with rolled gold wire.
Rolled gold is a hybrid metal consisting of fine layers of gold which are fused by heat to create one or both sides of the base metal of brass or copper, The layers are rolled into sheets and contain 5% of gold. The process was patented in England 1817, it became popular in the 1920s and 1930s being used in high quality costume jewellery.

The necklace measures 42cm / 16.5" in length.
