Vintage 1930s Art Deco Paste Silver Czech Bracelet
Description
Vintage 1930s silver bracelet featuring channel set square cut paste stones. The paste gemstones are transparent flint glass that simulates diamonds. The glass is polished and faceted to reflect the light. The underside of the bracelet has an open setting allowing light to pass through.
The piece has a number of hallmarks indicated the excellent quality of this piece. The bracelet was made in the Czech Republic as indicated by the initials 'CZ'. Other hallmarks include 'B&B', '925' and another decorative mark which is difficult to read.
The bracelet secures with a push clasp with two clips either side for extra security.
This piece is excellent in craftsmanship and quality.

Bohemia played an important role in costume jewellery. Bohemian costume jewellers pioneered cut-glass imitation gemstones and pearls. Bohemia gemstones where such good quality they rivalled beads produced in Venice during the 1920s.
