Vintage 1930s 'Wedding Cake' Venetian Murano glass bracelet. The beautiful blue beads are decorated with ornate gold and coloured flowers. Wedding cake beads known as Fiorato (decorated with glass overlays featuring roses, swirls and dots) are made using the lamp-work method. The lamp-work method is the most time-consuming method of glass bead-making, as each bead must be formed individually. The beads are strung on a rolled gold chain. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal, fused together by heating.

The bracelet measures 18.5cm / 7.2" in length.

The bracelet is in excellent vintage condition.
