ROLLED GOLD
Rolled gold necklaces were popular from 1914 until the late 1940's. These necklaces were handmade, providing work for injured soldiers returning from the war. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal and fused together by heating.

The white necklace measures 55cm / 21", the beads are 0.7mm to 1.3cm.
The blue necklace measures 48cm / 18.8" in length with a bead drop of 2.4cm / 0.9".
