Vintage 1930s silver gilt brooch featuring the world 'BABY' decorated with horizontal lines and dotes. Name brooches were popular from 1880 to 1915, jewellers would buy blank brooches and engrave names onto the front for individual customers. Brooches with the words 'Mother' or 'Baby' were given as presents of affection. This brooch would be a wonderful gift for a mother or a loved one.

The brooch measures 3.8cm / 1.5" in length and 0.8cm / 0.3" in height.
