Vintage 1930s rolled gold and light blue glass bead Art Deco necklace. Rolled gold necklaces were popular from 1914 until the late 1940s. These necklaces were handmade, providing work for injured soldiers returning from the war. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal and fused together by heating. This pretty necklace has groups of blue faceted glass beads with straight sections of rolled gold.
MEASUREMENTS & CONDITION
The necklace fastens with a shepherds hook, the piece is in excellent vintage condition, measuring 43cm / 16.9".
