Vintage blue glass rolled gold Art Deco necklace 1930s. Delicate two colour blue faceted glass beads, linked together with rolled gold wire, secured with shepherds hook and loop fastening. Rolled gold necklaces were popular from 1914 until the late 1940s. These necklaces were handmade, providing work for injured soldiers returning from the war. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal and fused together by heating.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition, measuring 44.5cm / 17.5".
