Vintage Art Deco 1930's Rolled Gold Necklace
Description
Vintage 1930s blue glass rolled gold Art Deco necklace. Rolled gold necklaces were popular from about 1914 until the late 1940s. These necklaces were handmade, they provided work for injured soldiers returning from the war. The necklace has nine blue smooth glass beads leading to a shepherd hook fastening. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal, fused together by heating.
MEASUREMENTS
The necklace measures 42cm / 16.5" in length.
CONDITION
The necklace is in excellent vintage condition.
