Vintage 1930s peacock brooch featuring a stunning gemstone plumage. The brooch is set in silver with a gold overlay, the gemstones are garnets. Garnets have a high lustre, which means the reflect the light. The body of the peacock has fine gold detailing which catches the light giving the body a glistening effect.
This beautiful brooch was handmade for a lady's 21st birthday in the 1950s.
