Vintage 1940s Repoussé Harvest Silver Bangle Bracelet
Description
Our vintage bangle features Ivy, Wheat, Roses, Fruit, Flowers depicted using a technique called repoussé. A beautiful unique bangle which is comfortable and secure to wear. Repoussé refer to a metalworking technique in which the metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. Chasing, chased work, or embossing refer to a similar technique, in which the piece is hammered on the front side, sinking the metal. The bracelet is most likely from Portugal from the 1940s.
