Vintage 1950's Aurora Borealis blue beaded clip earrings. These large and fun earrings are light in weight and comfortable to wear.
Christian Dior in collaboration with Swarovski creating the Aurora Borealis stone. A polychrome metallic coating gave this stone a rainbow iridescent quality. The stones were used in many different designs of jewellery including brooches, earrings, necklaces and extravagant complete sets called parures.
MEASUREMENTS
The earrings measure 2.6cm / 1" in height and 2.1cm / 0.8" in length.
CONDITION
The earrings are in good vintage condition.
