14" Necklace - fits just around then like a chocker.

16" Necklace - will fall around the base of the neck similar to a collar. The fall of the necklace will depend on the individual size of the wearers neck.

20" Necklace - will fall a few inches below the collar bone, this length is perfect for a lower neckline.

Description

Vintage Italian blue glass necklace featuring flowers set into the moulded blue Murano glass. Each daisy is sliced from a cane piece of glass which has been set into the large blue bead. The necklace secures with a large gold tone push clasp. The necklace is smooth to touch and heavy in weight.

Millefiori is a glasswork technique which produces decorative patterns on glassware. The millefiori technique involves the production of glass canes or rods, known as murrine, with multicolored patterns which are viewable only from the cut ends of the cane. A murrine rod is heated in a furnace and pulled until thin while still maintaining the cross section's design. It is then cut into beads or discs when cooled.

The necklace measures 48.2cm / 19" in length and the largest bead measures 1.2cm / 0.4" in width.
