Vintage 1960s 9ct Gold Anchor Necklace
Description
In the Victorian era an anchor symbolised hope and steadfastness, the symbol was often accompanied by a heart and cross symbolising 'Faith, Hope & Charity. Faith, Hope & Charity are a group of Christian martyred saints.
Our symbolic anchor is large in size with a tactile rope design set in 9ct yellow gold. The Anchor hangs from a long 30" Italian made 9ct gold plated sterling silver chain.
The long chain allows the wearer to easily place the necklace over their head and the layer with other necklaces.
