This Vintage 1960s charm necklace features a dog set in 9 carat yellow gold plated sterling silver. The dog is a French Poodle with its recognisable haircut.

The Poodle originated from Germany, despite the poodle’s pop-culture reputation as a pampered lap dog, poodles come from a line of hardworking sport animals. Poodles became fashionable to own in the 1950s which led to many pieces of jewellery depicting Poodles.
This solid charm has been styled with a new 9ct yellow gold chain. This original 1960s silver charm has been converted into a 9ct yellow gold plated charm.

The charms measures 1.7cm / 0.7" in height and 2.2cm / 0.9" in width. The charm hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold 18” chain.
