Vintage 1960s Swan brooch featuring one round faux pearl and three faux turquoise stones set into the body of the Swan. The Swan has accentuated feathers, neck and head, this classic 1960s brooch has a good weight.
Swans have a royal connection, the Crown claimed ownership of all the mute swans in England and Wales in the 12th century. These beautiful birds are still to this day protected by the Queen of England. In the Victorian era Swans symbolised purity and grace.
