This Vintage 1960s charm necklace features a swan set in 9 carat yellow gold plated sterling silver. The swan is shown to be swimming with intricate detailing of the birds feathers. This necklace will add a whimsical playful charm effortlessly to your wardrobe or alternatively a wonderful gift for an animal lover.
Swans have a royal connection, the Crown claimed ownership of all the mute swans in England and Wales in the 12th century. These beautiful birds are still to this day protected by the Queen of England. In the Victorian era swans symbolised purity and grace.
This solid charm has been styled with a new 9ct yellow gold chain. This original 1960s silver charm has been converted into a 9ct yellow gold plated charm.
MEASUREMENTS
The charms measures 1.2cm / 0.4" in height and 1.6cm / 0.6" in width. The charm hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold cm / 18” chain.
