In the Victorian era Opal symbolised fidelity and assurance. Opal is the birthstone for October and the stone is also given on the 14th wedding anniversary.
Our 1970s gemstone ring features a beautiful oval opal with a halo of garnet gemstones. The ring is set in 9ct yellow gold as indicated by the hallmarks. The ring was hallmarked in 1973 in Birmingham, England.
