Vintage 1970s tie clip featuring a textured from with a smooth tip and back. On the back of the clip it is marked '9ct Gold on Silver'. Indicating the piece is made from silver with a layer of 9ct yellow gold. Tie clips, tie bars or a tie slide became popular during the Victorian era. The clips stopped your tie flying in the wind or dropping into your soup. Tie clips are the perfect gift for a man who frequently wears shirts and ties.
