Vintage 1970s Rolled Gold Locket Necklace
Description
Vintage 1970s large oval locket featuring ornate engraved swirls and flourishes. The locket is made from rolled gold, a high-quality gold plating. Rolled gold is a thin layer of gold on a base metal and it is fused together by heating. The locket has two compartments with a frame and plastic sheet to secure a picture or keepsake.
On the back of the locket it is hallmarked 'ROLLED GOLD' framed in a box. The locket hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold chain.
MEASUREMENTS
The locket measures 5cm / 1.6" in height, 3.1cm / 1.2" in width and 0.6cm / 0.2" in thickness.
CONDITION
Very good condition, the back of the locket has very slight wear.
