Description
Vintage 1973 pendant featuring St Christopher set into a 9ct yellow gold heart. St. Christopher offered protection to travellers and against sudden death, he is pictured as a giant man with a child on his shoulder and a staff in one hand. In England there are more images of St. Christopher than any other saint. In England, it is traditional to gift a small St. Christopher pendant for a new born baby on their Christening.
The pendant has a number of marks indicating the piece was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1973 and it is made from 9ct gold.
