Vintage 1980s Diamond Ruby 18ct Gold Ring
Description
Ruby is the birthstone for July, it is the colour of love, anger, passion and fury. It was believed those who wore rubies were bestowed with good fortune, throughout history rubies were worn by emperors and kings. Still to this day we value the gemstone just as highly. The ruby is considered one of the four most precious gemstones in the world alongside Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond.
Our beautiful 1989 ring features a large single pink ruby gemstone set alongside two large diamond stones totalling 0.20ct set in 18ct yellow gold.
The ring has a number of marks indicating the piece was hallmarked in 1989 in Birmingham, England and is set in 18ct yellow gold. The piece was imported from another country and hallmarked in the UK as indicated by the scales mark.
