Vintage 1930s Czech ruby glass brooch. This stunning brooch features red Czech glass set into a yellow tone mount. The brooch is in excellent vintage condition, measuring 6cm / 2.4" in length and 4cm / 1.7" in width.

Bohemia played an important role in costume jewellery. Bohemian costume jewellers pioneered cut-glass imitation gemstones and pearls. Bohemia gemstones were such good quality they rivalled beads produced in Venice during the 1920s.
