Vintage Silver Crescent Moon Brooch
Description
An elegant Victorian silver moon brooch. This crescent style design brooch is set with thirteen paste facetted stones graduating in size and set in silver. This piece was made by George Loveridge and Company. George Loveridge was a silversmith based in Spencer Street, Birmingham, England. The company made brooches, as well as cigarette cases, vesta cases,napkin rings and sovereign cases. The brooch has a hallmark dated 1900 with the G.L mark. The fastening is a open 'C' clasp with a curved silver pin and is in excellent vintage condition. The length of the brooch is approximately 6.5cm.
