Vintage 1970s Aquamarine Teardrop 9ct Gold Pendant Necklace

Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for seawater and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea. March’s birthstone was also thought to enhance the happiness of marriages. (Source GIA)
Our beautiful vintage 1970s teardrop charm features a faceted pale blue aquamarine gemstone in a 9ct gold setting. The stone is set in a rub over setting with milgrain detailing. The gemstone is surrounded by two teardrop shaped ring. The aquamarine hangs in the middle of these rings suspended. The charm hangs from a new 9ct yellow gold chain.

The pendant measures 2.5cm / 0.9" (including top ring) and 1.4cm / 0.5" in with. The 9ct gold chain measures 18" / 45.7cm.
